Time and Temperature expectations

We have now begun our time and temperature unit in which the students are learning to do the following:

  • I can read time using analogue clocks to the nearest five minutes and represent time in 12-hour notation (digital time e.g. 4:10)

  • I can solve problems involving the relationships between min and hrs, hrs and days, days and weeks, and weeks and years (e.g. How many days are in 2 weeks?  How many minutes are in 3 hours?)

We will be having our Unit Quiz on Wednesday of next week.  Here are some websites for practising:

  • I can estimate, read and record positive temperatures
  • I can identify benchmarks for freezing, cold, cool, warm, hot and boiling temperatures for water
  • I can identify benchmarks for cold, cool, warm & hot temperatures for air

Here are some games to help you practise reading the thermometer and temperature benchmarks!
